SSVR is the abbreviation of solid-state voltage regulator, which is a semiconductor type voltage regulator that can be controlled by analog signal 4-20mA, 0-10VDC or potentiometer. As the analog signal increases or decreases, the output voltage will increase or decrease relatively, thus the output is proportional.

Yes, solid state regulators can be controlled by a pid thermostat, which is the most commonly used, in addition, we can also use PLC or HMI to control it. But, please make sure that the PID temperature controller, PLC or HMI output signal is digital 4-20 mA, 0-5VDC or 0-10VDC.
