Solid Shaft Encoder

1. What is a solid shaft rotary encoder?

The solid shaft encoder we are going to discuss here is an incremental solid shaft optical encoder, which is a position feedback sensor that can convert mechanical rotation into a measurable electrical signal, so we can easily measure a motor’s speed, rotation direction and displacement with a PLC or other instruments.

• Solid shaft design: Compared with our hollow shaft incremental rotary encoder, this solid shaft encoder needs to be used with a coupling to be connected to the motor shaft.
• Wide applications: These encoders are well-suited for applications that require high-speed rotation and precise speed control, such as conveyors, printing machines, and cutting machines.
