Introduction:
-
- Lorentzzi® M5 NAMUR output inductive proximity sensor has a sensing distance of 1.0 mm and uses current levels to indicate the approach or departure of objects.
- If an object is within its sensing range, it will output a current of less than 1.1 mA; when the object exceeds 1.0 mm, it will output a current of 2.2 mA. This characteristic makes it very safe for use in explosion-proof applications involving gases or oils.
- Its standard operating voltage of 8.2 VDC ensures that no sparks are generated when outputting the signal, making it safer to use in explosion scenarios than the more common M5 digital output inductive proximity sensor.
- In addition to the M5 NAMUR sensor, we can also provide the M8, M12, and M18 NAMUR sensors with longer detection distances. The M8 has a detection distance of 2.0 mm, the M12 has a detection distance of 4.0 mm, and the M18 has a detection distance of 8.0 mm. You can send your inquiry to us for more information.
- Applications of this M5 NAMUR inductive proximity sensor are detection of metals in combustible gases, flour mill automated production line and so on.
