trif\u00e1sico \u00e9 usado para controlar o estado ligado\/desligado da carga: dois tiristores antiparalelos s\u00e3o usados em SSRs de alta corrente acima de 35 amperes e o triac \u00e9 usado em SSRs de baixa corrente abaixo de 35 amperes. A diferen\u00e7a est\u00e1 no n\u00famero de tiristores ou triacs usados: um rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido trif\u00e1sico emprega tr\u00eas tiristores ou triacs conectados em paralelo, enquanto um SSR monof\u00e1sico tem apenas um. Quando um sinal de controle \u00e9 aplicado ao terminal de controle de um rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido trif\u00e1sico, ele abre ou fecha simultaneamente os tr\u00eas tiristores ou triacs paralelos, permitindo assim que a energia trif\u00e1sica controlada seja ligada ou desligada simultaneamente. Isso tamb\u00e9m significa que um SSR trif\u00e1sico \u00e9 essencialmente uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de tr\u00eas rel\u00e9s de estado s\u00f3lido monof\u00e1sicos.
