Lorsque des surintensit\u00e9s et des courts-circuits se produisent, ils coupent automatiquement l'alimentation \u00e9lectrique de la maison ou de l'appareil. Le courant ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9tabli qu'une fois ces deux probl\u00e8mes r\u00e9solus. Parmi eux, les disjoncteurs B et C sont les plus couramment utilis\u00e9s. Les disjoncteurs de type B peuvent se d\u00e9clencher \u00e0 2 ou 3 fois le courant nominal et conviennent \u00e0 l'\u00e9clairage domestique. Ce produit est con\u00e7u pour les applications de moyenne \u00e0 forte puissance.
