tiristores o triacs utilizados: el rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido trif\u00e1sico emplea tres tiristores o triacs conectados en paralelo, mientras que el SSR monof\u00e1sico s\u00f3lo tiene tres tiristores o triacs conectados en paralelo. La diferencia radica en el n\u00famero de tiristores o triacs utilizados: un rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido trif\u00e1sico emplea tres tiristores o triacs conectados en paralelo, mientras que un SSR monof\u00e1sico s\u00f3lo tiene uno. Cuando se aplica una se\u00f1al de control al terminal de control de un rel\u00e9 de estado s\u00f3lido trif\u00e1sico, \u00e9ste abre o cierra simult\u00e1neamente los tres tiristores o triacs en paralelo, lo que permite conectar o desconectar simult\u00e1neamente la alimentaci\u00f3n trif\u00e1sica controlada. Esto tambi\u00e9n significa que un SSR trif\u00e1sico es esencialmente una combinaci\u00f3n de tres rel\u00e9s de estado s\u00f3lido monof\u00e1sicos.
